For those who attended either or both of the New Year
Series events, I thank you all, as people in the stands will regenerate funny car. To Steve Bettes and the event organisers and the other funny car teams, "we did it!" I would also include the Perth Motorplex as a vital player in this, giving us, the Greenes and the Sheehans excellent event opportunities to race in front of a hugh crowd.
I hope that the enthusiasm generated in new teams will continue. Our teams were honoured to be part of this resurgence and it would not have been possible without help and commitment from a lot of people. After burning the black car at the previous meeting on the final run of the night the situation was grim. As we are independently funded, money was tight, but the generosity of the following people lending their services made it possible for us to continue.
